NEW VIDEO: Kanye West, ‘New Slaves’

Kanye West debuted the video for his new track New Slaves on the side of buildings in 66 locations around the world. He is ignorant as fuck for projecting his video on the side of this apartment building so late at night as if the people inside wouldn’t mind a crowd of people gathering to watch.

This new track is all about how the entertainment industry as a whole has created new slaves of black people who acquire wealth and are controlled by the money and fame they have. Even though these people are idolized, they are a slave to the industry. Hmm…

I like the track. I do. My cousin Kanye is just so fuckless and it tickles me. Although he’s just a lil too angry sometimes for no reason, he has a point. But, how can I take this song serious from a “new slave” himself?

Beyonce Cancels Show & Nominated For BET Award

It was announced this morning that Beyonce was canceling her Belgium show tonight because of “dehydration and exhaustion.” This report sent via email from her publicists did nothing but fuel the rumors of Beyonce being pregnant.

In an email to The Associated Press, the singer’s publicist says Beyonce has been advised by her doctors to rest. She was scheduled to perform at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. The show will be rescheduled and tickets can be used at that show.

Her next tour date is Wednesday at the same arena. The statement says “she is awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision.”

People have been assuming ever since pictures of Beyonce revealed the singer with a rather plump stomach over the area where her uterus would be. People are concerned more about that organ than her music, which should be the focal point of her career, but sadly it isn’t. Something we learned in Life Is But a Dream. Yesterday, I came across this picture:

I definitely don’t believe that this means anything, but of course this picture in conjunction with the news of cancellation is just making the rumor worse. People are beginning to think that Beyonce hasn’t planned this era out well, criticizing her role as her own manager. Beyonce has been in the business too long not to be able to manage herself well. And even if she is pregnant, this is something that happens some times without parents even knowing.

If Beyonce is pregnant, congratulations. We should be happy about the notion of new life, not mourning and abhorring it. Evidently, the American leg of her tour will be canceled for her to have the baby. And also, her album should be further post-poned, although I’ve already stated the first rumor I heard about it was that it would be coming out later in the year. And The Mrs. Carter Show has proved to be a tour for 4.

Beyonce was also nominated earlier today for a BET Award for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist along with Tamar Braxton, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, and Elle Varner. And she hasn’t even released anything new. Go ‘head, sis.

NEW VIDEO: Mariah Carey Feat. Miguel, #Beautiful

Early this morning, Mariah Carey released the video for her latest single #Beautiful featuring Miguel. Yes, the pound sign is a permanent part of the title. I think we’re actually supposed to pronounce it “hashtag beautiful.” Anywho…

In the video, we find Mariah on the back of Miguel’s motorcycle taking a ride through the country. Mariah’s skin is AMAZING, so smooth, even, and bright. And Miguel with these smirks and seductive glares actually made me use sexy as an adjective to describe him. He could’ve had me bent over that motorcycle or in the grassy field. But, back to the video.

I think it was really cute seeing Mariah do a little dance, even if it was for Miguel. Her body in that yellow dress, showing him a little leg and some nude panties everyone thought was her cooch. The track is just very light and intimate. Something that puts a small smile on the face. I’m definitely digging it.

Is Beyonce Pregnant?

The rumors of Beyonce being pregnant have been swirling after an image of Beyonce during The Mrs. Carter Show tour circulated the Internet. While wearing a navy blue cat suit, it’s very apparent that there’s a small bump where her uterus would be. People automatically began assuming things as they usually do. It’s really starting to irk me.

Yesterday, Beyonce sat down on Good Morning America in London to discuss her role in the animated film Epic and her life as a mother. During the interview, she mentioned how she wants more children, but not anytime soon.

I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some compnay. I definitely love being a big sister. At some point when it’s supposed to happen.

Y’all really think Beyonce wasn’t going to plan this year very well? I wonder if she just keeps sex completely away from Jay-Z to avoid his nut at all costs, which I’m sure is very potent. Celebrities Attend The 2013 MET Gala

Last night, celebrities ornamented the red carpet of the 2013 MET Gala with eclectic designer gowns and tuxedos that reflected the Punk: From Chaos to Couture theme very well. Beyonce arrived in a Givenchy gown just like last year, stunning the crowd with this fiery paisley that cascaded down the slit and covered her knee-high boots.

I wasn’t a big fan of what she wore, but if you know what the MET Gala is all about, you know the attire will be very couture and all about the art and creation of the piece.

Sarah Jessica Parker definitely stole the night with this Giles Deacon dress and Philip Treacy head piece. You can’t see her boots in this picture, but they were a lovely red plaid material that could’ve really gone with anything. Someone find me these boots!

Another favorite of mine was Anne Hathaway in a vintage 1992 Versace. This short, blonde cut on her and this black dress is everything. And showing just the right amount of skin.

I also have to give it to Cameron Diaz who wowed me in Stella McCartney. This indigo color (sort of purple but more blue than anything) made my heart jump. And that gold spiked belt looked dangerous and glamours at the same time.

And then I saw Kim Kardashian in a custom Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci. Kanye still looks like his soul is slowly dying. I think Riccardo took an old slip cover from a sofa he found in his great aunt’s house and made a dress out of it. He literally encased Kim in this dress by creating gloves. She looks like someone tried to fill a floral tote bag from Urban Outfitters with oatmeal. If she tumbled into the bushes behind her, I’m sure we all would’ve sworn she was just a part of the scenery. Hopefully Kanye took her straight home after and not to a park because she would’ve gotten lost. If she even dared walked near some bushes or trees, squirrels and other woodland creatures would’ve taken her for shelter and tried nestling nicely betwix her breasts. Poor dat.

Lauryn Hill Sentenced To 3 Months In Prison

Just when we thought Lauryn Hill was in the clear for paying off her IRS debt, we were proved wrong. During her court hearing today, Lauryn was sentenced to 3 months in prison.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Grammy-winning singer Lauryn Hill has been sentenced to three months in prison for failing to pay about $1 million in taxes.

She was also sentenced Monday in Newark to three additional months of home confinement.

The 37-year-old South Orange resident pleaded guilty last year in the case.

During a forceful statement to the judge, Hill explained she had always meant to eventually pay the taxes but was unable to during a period of time when she dropped out of the music business.

Before the sentencing, her attorney had said Hill had paid more than $970,000 to satisfy the state and federal tax liabilities.

Hill had faced a maximum sentence of one year each on three counts. Her attorney had sought probation.

She’s to report to prison July 8. It’s not clear where she’ll serve her sentence.

I guess her attorney tried to pull an ookie doke on all of us. Good thing Lauryn just did her big chop, so if any girls want to try her in jail, they won’t be able to pull her by her hair.

Chris Brown And Rihanna Break Up

While Chris Brown was turnt up for his birthday this weekend, it was hinted/confirmed on the Kyle and Jackie Show that he and Rihanna have broken up. Can they like… not. *rolls eyes*

I’ll just put it like this, one thing I always want to do is never disrespect nobody or put nobody down. The way I look at it is that I am always gonna love that person and people have different wants and needs. At the end of the day, she’s a young girl. I can’t really be focused on wifing someone that young. And I’m young too so I can’t focus on that right now. I gotta step forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be instead of worrying about whoever else is gonna be on my side pocket.

I’m really not sure what this means, and it’s more than likely due to the fact I don’t really care. I wish these two would get it together. People are going to get real tired of this soon if they haven’t already.

Lauryn Hill Finally Pays Her Taxes

Lauryn Hill has been in a lot of heat for the past few months for owing the government $900,000 in unpaid taxes. I don’t understand why celebrities get themselves in mess like this as if they can’t afford to pay taxes annually.

Lauryn recently dropped a new single that, from what I’ve read, is awful. So… I won’t be listening to it. Many people speculated that she was doing new music to pay off these debts, which she has denied. And it’s been reported that her debts weren’t actually paid by revenue from the sell of her new single.

Her attorney, Nathan Hochman, confirmed Hill legitimately avoided further penalty in an email obtained byReuters.

“Ms Hill has not only now fully paid prior to sentencing her taxes, which are part of her criminal restitution, but she has additionally fully paid her federal and state personal taxes for the entire period under examination through 2009.”

Her attorney said last month that Hill lined up a loan secured by two pieces of real estate. He said on Sunday that the tax repayment came from a combination of sources but did not include funds from any new record sales.

Lil Kim Being Sued: Costed Her Former Manager $15 Million

Lil Kim is being sued by her former business manager for not holding up her end of contractual obligations, allegedly costing his company $15 million.

Andrew Ro says his company, International Rock Star Corp, inked a licensing deal with Kim back in August 2012 and planned to roll out a slew of products, including a perfume line, clothing line, vodka drink, energy drink, Steve Madden shoe line and even a honey maker.

Problem is Ro says Kim was a menace to work with and often refused to come to project meetings unless she was being paid extra for her time — making it difficult to get anything off the ground.

Not only that, he says when a project was finally executed — like her perfume — Kim refused to promote the product and then stopped taking their phone calls.

After Kim cut contact, Ro says she fired off a cease and desist letter regarding future projects too … and then filed a lawsuit claiming IRS tricked her into a bad licensing deal.

Ro fired back with his own suit, claiming Lil Kim’s to blame and her antics cost his company $15 million.

This isn’t the first time I’m hearing of Lil Kim being very unprofessional when it comes to working with others. Someone I personally know told me his reasoning for disliking her after she failed to follow through with her end of the bargain during a deal she made, so I’m not surprised that she isn’t reliable.

These celebrities have to learn that no one will put up with their diva like behavior, especially if they’re two steps from being washed up and irrelevant. Y’all can disagree and hate me if you want. If Kim doesn’t get her act together, people will forget her.
