Monique Houston, Whitney’s brother Gary’s ex wife……….. sat down with Dr. Drew and discussed the Oprah interview.

She said, “the whole interview was a little disturbing to me because I just thought it was a little soon to expose Bobbi Kris to the media.” She feels as though Bobbi needs more time to heal, and although she was poised in the interview, she has to be hurting inside. The ex-wife of Gary continues on to say that she was broken during the death of her mother, which was during the same time of her divorce – “everything happened at once.”

Monique divorced Gary because of a “drug problem”, and proceeds to explain how she was an “intruder” in the family and that she wasn’t a “gold digger”.

This lady is irking every bit of my soul. You are an EXTENDED family member – not even family anymore – discussing the tribulations of the Houston’s as if you’re still a part of it. Secondly, you can’t compare the time you were losing your mother to Bobbi. You two are different people and therefore handle things differently. Also, you lost your mother during a divorce, which was sure to give you greater heartache since it happened all at once. And are we forgetting about Bobbi’s breakdown the day after?

And I’m not sure what family doesn’t have their secrets, and of course people deny drug habits all the time. This interview tried to make it seem like the Houston family has more skeletons in their closet than they do. I don’t like it.
