Nicki’s Wig Flies Off After Album is Called Pop
Of course that’s just a hyperbole.
Nicki Minaj sat down with Lia Nicholls of The Sun who got her head chopped off after calling Nicki’s album Pop. You’d think after her tantrum which caused her to delete her Twitter, Nicki would be over the antics. I guess not.
“You know what it is, I get tired of people making statements that go to the world and they will read what you write and what you’re saying isn’t true.
“The album is a versatile album with five dance tracks on it. The album has 19 songs and the majority of it is hip-hop. How can you give people a true account if you haven’t listened to it in its entirety?”
Aware the clock is ticking, I timidly change tack: “Let’s start again, shall we?”
She snaps: “No! I want you to realise how annoying it is when people come to me having not heard my album in its entirety because, if you had, then you wouldn’t have said that.
“My new album has five dance tracks on it produced by RedOne, who I’m absolutely in love with. Prior to that, it has a very mix tape feel that people need to know about. With people like yourself printing things about the album, it’s really, really misleading to the average person.”
I’ve listened to the album myself, and if you aren’t aware of my review, then here it is. I strongly believe that Nicki is forgetting about tracks 10-19 on the deluxe edition. When listening, all I remember are dance beats with foolish lyrics sung over them in idiotic voices. The entire end of that album didn’t thrill me, excluding Stupid Hoe. And to only remember 5 dance tracks would be an understatement. And with all the slow tracks where she sings for majority of the time, the album loses it’s Hip-Hop appeal.
What do you think? Did Nicki have a right to go off or has she forgotten what her album sounds like? And be sure to check out more pics of her leaving London after the jump.
