This video just reminded me of how much I hate every child in the world besides my own. And I ain’t a parent.

I came across this video a couple days ago on The Huffington Post’s site and was totally appalled and outraged that kids could be so cruel. I know all crumb snatchers and dirt mongers are evil, but this was beyond that tolerable point. For 10 minutes, these little bastard ass children taunt and torment an elderly bus monitor by calling her “fat ass” among other things. The reason I’m so upset is that 1) children in this generation have lost all respect for their elders; 2) the words coming out of these kids mouths are horrific; and 3) I hate seeing elderly people harassed, especially when they’re alone. I always automatically think they have no one in life and the thug tears start to well. Man.

Now, as awful as this was, there was a silver lining in not only the universal condemnation of the actions of these kids, but also in a call for support for this poor woman. Her name is Karen Klein, and if you are so compelled, please feel free to reach out to offer support. She has been a widow for 17 years, has lived in the same town she grew up in and is about to have her 50th high school reunion in the same school district, and deserves so much better than the actions shown by those in this video. Let’s show her that there are still good people out there…

I’d beat the entire brakes off my child for being so disrespectful and an embarrassment to me like he had no home training. I mean old school whoopin’ with the pants down and that leather belt to the skin. Yes, at that age. And I’d go to his school, make him apologize to the woman, then invite her to dinner and make him serve. Trust! Kids need more beatings these days. Can’t wait to become the black mama I’ve wanted to since I was 18. I have so many good ideas for punishment. Lord. Y’all parents are so lucky.
