Behind The Scenes: Rihanna’s Cover Spread in VOGUE
Rihanna covers the November 2012 issue of VOGUE Magazine shot by the iconic phtographer Annie Leibovits. In the behind the scenes video, Rihanna describes how her personality has change since her last VOGUE cover.
“I’ve gotten a lot more fearles, a lot freer, a lot more comfortable with who I am. And as I’ve changed and grew up I’ve just started to embrace that. I’ve started to infuse that in my fashion and as well as my music. It’s pretty much exposed to my fans and they get to see that change and evolution.”
Rihanna looks gorgeous during her shoot and in between takes. Her new short cut that she gushes about in the video, saying that it was holding her back, suits her well. She has the head and skin for a short, dark cut, and those red lips just complement everything well.
“When people listen to my new album I want them to walk away with a spirit of hope – a light spirit. That’s the place I’m in and I want them to see that; I want them to feel that… The beauty of being a woman is that there’s so many different colors to us, so many different layers, and so many different types. That’s why you have to be yourself because there’s only one of you.”
Rihanna’s manager Jay Brown commented in her VOGUE spread about why she releases a new album every year saying, “If you have a new iPhone every year, why can’t we give them new content? But I don’t think she’s thinking of it like that. She’s thinking, I love to make music. I want to keep going.” Hopefully she doesn’t fizzle out too soon or become too overexposed.
I enjoyed this behind this scenes very much. Rihanna made me love her a long time ago and I am definitely anticipating the new album.
