Nicki Minaj has finally premiered her new video for her track, featuring Cassie, The Boys. I don’t know where all the boys were, but this video sure did have a lot going on.

Like I said in the behind the scenes post, this video is just making my love/hate relationship with pink waver. There were definitive moments where I wanted to gag because all of the excessive pink and thank God I wasn’t born a girl. Then there were moments that all the pink just looked uber cute, making me want either some pink extensions for my natural fro or some pink jewelry. Whatever.

The premise of the video begins with Nicki arriving in a town that has shops related to the many characters she plays. Some time during her beauty shop visit, someone must’ve dyed her wig the wrong color pink or chopped off too much of her bangs revealing her awkward forehead, which in turn makes her set the store on fire.

Every time Cassie came across my screen, I couldn’t help but mention that they are trying so hard to make her relevant, again. I mean let this girl be the one hit wonder God intended her to be. I remember her first song (and the only one I will ever remember) coming out in like 2006. That was six years ago! Why couldn’t y’all have left her seated on Diddy’s lap like Santa’s little girl?

And was Cassie supposed to be a lesbian in this video? She was so damn butch. I felt like she was finna come out with a strap at any moment. And I can see she’s still trying to make that shaved side look happen. Man.

Overall, I liked the video because y’all know I go stupid over bright, pretty colors. And I will admit that this track makes me do a little bop every now and then until I hear lyrics like, “I put all you bitches on to them good lacefronts.” Nicki….
