Just when we thought Lauryn Hill was in the clear for paying off her IRS debt, we were proved wrong. During her court hearing today, Lauryn was sentenced to 3 months in prison.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Grammy-winning singer Lauryn Hill has been sentenced to three months in prison for failing to pay about $1 million in taxes.

She was also sentenced Monday in Newark to three additional months of home confinement.

The 37-year-old South Orange resident pleaded guilty last year in the case.

During a forceful statement to the judge, Hill explained she had always meant to eventually pay the taxes but was unable to during a period of time when she dropped out of the music business.

Before the sentencing, her attorney had said Hill had paid more than $970,000 to satisfy the state and federal tax liabilities.

Hill had faced a maximum sentence of one year each on three counts. Her attorney had sought probation.

She’s to report to prison July 8. It’s not clear where she’ll serve her sentence.

I guess her attorney tried to pull an ookie doke on all of us. Good thing Lauryn just did her big chop, so if any girls want to try her in jail, they won’t be able to pull her by her hair.

I guess the rumors of Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran having relationship problems can be finally put to rest.

Since this summer, rumors have been flying that Rihanna and Chris Brown have been canoodling while Kawasaki struggled to write down the list of names people give her monopolizing all her time from the truth. When Rihanna and Chris Brown wound up in Europe at the same time, many people became skeptical. After the release of their joint features on one another’s music, the question was first raised.

Last night, the two were spotted very close to each other during Jay-Z’s performance at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. A fan tweeted the image below and other cameras caught the two together.

This all happened after Chris was seen coming out of Gansevoort Park Hotel where Rihanna was staying. Then the two joined each other in the VIP section of the concert.

Welp, Chris has finally issued a statement about his current relationship with Karate Tran Charles:

“I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”

I blame Team Breezy and everyone else who constantly came for Kamaro daily on Twitter. I know y’all made her want to pull out a few tracks, or at least go to city hall and change her name.

And apparently, Chris and Karoach had an altercation inside his vehicle after Chris picked her up after spending the day with Rihanna.

“[Karrueche] hit it a few hours ago. She mad at the [boy] and said to him ‘I’m leaving youre triffling punk ass’ and said ‘f–k you.’ He tried to calm her down — told her he didn’t want her to leave and went after her, but she scooted on him,” another source tells HollywoodLife.com. “[Karrueche's] really upset at Chris for what he’s been doing [with Rihanna] for the past week and she’s just tired of it. She did have a fight with him over the whole situation and it brought her to tears. She basically told him to stop disrespecting her and at least give her some respect and not cheat on her right in her f–king face,” our source added.

 

Well, Karoochee evidently left New York City after tweeting “take off,” but her Twitter rant didn’t stop there. Kilimanjaro came for Chris Brown’s manhood a few days ago, obviously hurt by the decision before he had time to release his statement.

I guess Kay Karan was getting sick of Chris Brown’s light skin antics with Drake, his crying and tantrums on Twitter, and sharing her nail polish and Louboutins boots with him when they went out to underground vogue battles.

Well, just when I thought American Idol was boring, I was wrong.

During auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey got into a heated argument after a disagreement with a contestant’s performance. The Internet went crazy after the video of the argument was released and now TMZ has snagged a longer version where you can hear Mariah calling Nicki, “inadequate.”

Nicki told her to “stop disrespecting me,” but any look a legend can give to a subordinate will appear condescending.

Nicki Minaj derailed the “American Idol” auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina Tuesday, after swearing at Mariah Carey and threatening, “I’m gonna knock you out” … sources tell TMZ.

In the footage, obtained by TMZ, Nicki is clearly furious … shouting, “I told them I’m not f*ckin’ putting up with her f**kin’ highness over there.”

Sources say Nicki later threatened to “knock out” Mariah … but she said it before the video starts.

Nicki  Get this s**t in self control.  Get in control.  Get in control.

Kim Kardashian had a talk with Bossip about how Kanye West has influenced her new fashion decisions. Apparently, she dressed too trashy for the rapper and he wanted her to adopt an adult wardrobe.

It was beyond what you see on a TV show in a couple of clips,” Kim told Bossip during her Fashion’s Night Out event at Lord & Taylor on Fifth Avenue in New York City last week.

Kimmy says that her new look is reflective of her growth and maturity over the past year. “So I introduced my stylist into the mix so we can kind of collaborate on a more sophisticated look on something that I felt kind of reflects my own personality and the changes that I’ve had in my life,” she said of her Yeezy-inspired look.

Still, Kardashian admitted that she wasn’t quite sure of her new duds at first. “In regards to all the clothes, I definitely kept all the stash to the side for a couple of months to make sure that I liked the new stylist that he introduced me to,” she said. “I put all my stuff in a guest room of mine for two months and once I didn’t really feel the need to take anything — I liked evolving, I liked growing up a little bit.”

Now that Kim is comfortable with her new look, she is putting her old threads up on eBay and donating a portion of the proceeds to the Life Change Community Church.

It seems as though Paris Jackson (leader of Michael Jackson’s children) may be getting her way after getting Janet Jackson and Michael’s other siblings banned from Katherine Jackson’s house. If you’re not caught up on the entire Jackson Family debacle, catch up here. After a small conflict at Katherine’s home last week, most of the Jackson siblings have been banned from visiting their mother’s home and endangering Michael’s kids. That’ll teach them to trespass.

In a letter written by Howard Weitzman, Michael Jackson‘s estate lawyer, Janet, Randy, Rebbie and Jermaine are indefinitely banned from entering Katherine’s home:

“Given the circumstances of the last two weeks, and in order to protect the children and Mrs. Jackson, the Executors believe that it would not be appropriate to allow the following individuals to enter the residence or its grounds and we instruct the security to preclude the following from entering the residence or the grounds: Randy Jackson and any of his children, Janet Jackson, Rebbie Jackson and any of her children, Jermaine Jackson, his wife and any of his children.”

Thank God TJ Jackson was granted guardianship. I don’t know if Katherine is still at Rebbie’s house playing rousing games of UNO or spades, but she’s just not all there to be executing any decisions as her children play negro games. What do you think?

Many peculiar events have been taking place in this Jackson family feud like Katherine Jackson being reported as missing only to be with family in Arizona, Janet and Randy taking video footage of Paris being irate, and LaToya’s nosey self being no where to be found.

Yesterday, it was mentioned that TJ Jackson, son of Tito, would be trying to acquire guardianship over Prince, Paris, and Blanket since he is the only one they trust at the moment. With their only guardian Katherine gone, someone had to lawfully step in so the kids wouldn’t be the states problem.

Before Beckloff appointed TJ … TJ’s lawyer said TJ had a strange phone call with Katherine yesterday and TJ said, “I’ve never heard my grandmother talk like that.”  TJ added, “She wasn’t sharp.  The pauses, choice of vocabulary … she has not used certain phrases like that before.”  TJ thought she was talking in code.  As TJ addressed the court, he was choking up.

Beckloff said this was not a power play by TJ and ordered the Michael Jackson Estate to give TJ the funds necessary to take care of security and anything else that’s needed for the children.

Before Beckloff appointed TJ, the lawyer for MJ’s kids said the kids all support TJ getting temporary guardianship.

The lawyer for the MJ Estate just said the executors are very concerned for the kids and Katherine.

Katherine’s guardianship has been suspended and TJ will now be temporary guardian. His attorney is asking that he becomes permanent guardian, but no word on that yet. Sources also say that Katherine appears to be being held against her will. I knew Rebbie was in on this.

I think this will be a good idea since Katherine may not be the most secure person to watch over her grandchildren since her children are playing a bunch of foolish negro games. But this tweet from TJ may suggest he is very close to Michael’s children after all.

Ray J called in to The Lift Off On Power 106 this morning to explain his “chuckle” toward Kim Kardashian’s positive tweet about her life. Let’s just say that there were no fucks given to the shade he threw last night, continuing to give him all the points. That girl knows how to play the game.

“I felt like it was real, what [Kim Kardashian tweeted]. I kinda laughed about it, ’cause it was 100.”

The E1 Entertainment artist added, “I wish ‘em the best. Life is a roller-coaster, so you never know what’s gonna happen. But I wish ‘em the best, much success to both of ‘em.” Seemingly as a joke, he continued, “Yo, this whole thing is like a Magic Mountain experience.” Earlier this week, Kardashian and West were photographed at the Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park.

Although his statements might appear to be subliminal shots, Ray J clarified, “I don’t want people to take [this] any kind of way, I’m just havin’ fun.” The singer also claimed he is a big fan of Kanye West’s music.

Kim Kardashian’s exes give no fucks when it comes to her moving on with life. The shade Kris Humphries and Ray J threw yesterday was impeccable, and deserved all the points.

Kris Humphries signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets. Remember that line in “Way Too Cold” where Kanye said that he would’ve gotten Jay to kick Kris off the team? Well, Kris remembered it, and threw it back in Kanye’s face like a cloud of glitter.

The fact Kris actually had a nerve to @ Jay though… messy, messy, messy. But I live.

Last night, Twitter was yet again in another uproar after Ray J tweeted the simplest form of shade to Kim. Who knew three letters could have so much power?

Well, at least that’s how I took it. I love when a girl comes in with a mean tantrum to distract the actual girl performing on the runway. Kanye is pissed BOOTS right about now. Can y’all imagine what her response will be when she gets wind of it? Eff a diss track, Ray J’s whole social security number will be erased. Jesus. He better hope the Money Team has his back.

Welp. If Kim kept her legs closed (not calling her a hoe, just… giving) she wouldn’t have so many men trying to come for her life. Sad that Ray J’s dick did catapult the Kardashian hustle, but too bad it can’t get his own career off its’ feet. Dah well.

Nicki Minaj was in Balado, UK yesterday to perform for T In The Park. The female rapper managed to turned off the audience and some performers with her attitude, and let’s just say the tea is being spilled.

Apparently, Nicki was 55 minutes late to her set due to her flight being delayed. This caused the crowd to become very anxious and frustrated, and when Nicki finally arrived she was booed during her entire performance.

Past fashionable and fifty-five minutes late, the rap star ran onto the stage with no introduction, and a mega-sized bridge centre-stage lit up, allowing her team of BacoFoil-clad dancers to be seen writhing all over it.

Backed by rhythmic sub bass, a male MC, and aggressively rapping into a baby pink microphone, the 29-year-old and Roman’s Revengesurprised the crowd- the enigma had arrived, but there was no hello or explanation.

Babbling with her booty in the air, she got cheers from the front of the stage and boos from the back, having made enemies from her unexplained late arrival-now was the turn of the crowd for their own revenge.

Using an olive branch of chart hits to win them back round, perpetual anthems, Starships and Pound The Alarm, had the crowd using all remaining energy reserves, but the booing was still obvious as each track faded.

The hurried set didn’t show much rhythm, or fluidity, or finesse, or come to think of it…talent. Miss Minaj showed none of the quirks of her many interviews and simply came across as bratty.

With pre-rehearsed lines and no genuine crowd interaction, twenty-five minutes after it all began, she jogged back off of the stage, and the crowd were left wondering, ‘Did that actually happen?’

T in the Park have released a statement to confirm that unfortunately Miss Minaj’s flight was delayed, leading to her late arrival and short set. What the statement didn’t explain, was why she was so damn awful.

UK singer, Frank Turner, and partner were also performing during T In The Park and had tweeted rather disparaging descriptions of Nicki and crew’s behavior. This caused the Barbs to drag in a frenzy, but no one is afraid of them.

Kris Humphries’ legal team is now being reported as wanting to subpoena Kanye West since  Kim Kardashian recently admitted to Oprah that she has known Kanye for almost a decade and maybe having relations with her during her show and marriage. Kris has recently been rumored claiming that Kris Jenner directed and marketed Kim’s sex tape to recent girlfriend Myla Sinanaj, causing Kim’s legal team to subpoena her which could hurt his case. But with this subpoena of Kanye West, it may actually help him win.

“Kris lawyer, Lee Hutton, has no choice but to depose Kim’s new boyfriend, Kanye West. Kim has publicly said that she and Kanye have been friends for years, and Kris’ lawyers want to know if the two were ever intimate before they went public with their relationship a few months ago. Kris has no reason to believe that Kim was unfaithful to him during their very short marriage. Of particular interest to Team Humphries is Kanye’s involvement in the Kardashian reality shows as he appeared on an episode ofKourtney & Kim Take New York. Kris lawyers will delve into if Kanye’s appearance on the show, and what his involvement in the shows are going forward. Kris believes that Kim felt tremendous pressure to get married to him on camera, and this goes to the heart of his claim that the marriage is fraudulent,” the source added.

If Kim and Kanye were to have relations previously, particularly during Kris and she’s marriage (which wouldn’t be far-fetched), Kris can slam dunk this case as a win. I really would like to know the entire truth to the failure of their marriage, and more behind the scenes scoop on Kim and Kanye. I’m sure there’s more dirt there. Maybe I need to start watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians again because I know Kanye will soon make an appearance.
